Who We Are
We are the Heritage Committee of the Khun Kur Longtrai Lai Kynthei, landowner and custodians of Raid Shabong in Rangthylliang, Meghalaya.
As caretakers of this living cultural and ecological heritage, our mission is to conserve and promote the unique legacy of the Living Root Bridges, including the world’s longest and highest known living root bridges which are the ancient Khasi trail which also includes Reserve Forests, Sacred Forests (LAW RYNGKU), Rivers and streams etc. they are part of our customs and tradition given to us by our ancestors whom we remember as U NI U KONG.
Through our upcoming Experiential Tourism Initiative, we aim to share this heritage with the world in a way that is community-led, culturally respectful, and ecologically sustainable.
