Step into a world where paths are made not by machines, but by time, trees, and tradition. Our Living Root Hike in Wah Kumpa, the Law Adong Lai Kynthei is a slow journey, one that unfolds with every barefoot step, every birdsong, and every breath of forest air.

What You Will Experience

  • Walk barefoot across ancient living root bridges, natural wonders shaped by generations of Khasi hands and forest time.
  • Trek through Sacred forests, whispering bamboo groves, and cascading water streams.
  • Learn the stories behind the bridges from village elders and local guides.
  • Pause for wild tea, forest fruits juices, and views that stretch beyond imagination

  • Difficulty: Moderate (Barefoot or shoes optional)
  • Duration: Half-day treks available
  • Best Time: October –April
  • Group Size: 2–5 for intimate, respectful experiences

What To Bring

You won’t need much; the forest provides more than you expect.

  • Trekking boots/ go barefoot for the full experience.
  • Reusable water bottle (spring water is available along the trail)
  • Sun hat or light rain cover (depending on season)
  • An open heart and a quiet mind.

We provide a traditional home-cooked Khasi lunch (Ja Song) packed in eco-friendly local leaves, and cool, drinkable water from a natural spring along the way.
